Jacket: Express via Goodwill
Bag: Matt & Nat

For this post, I chose to showcase two of my very favorite things that I currently own. The jacket, a treasure I found at the local Goodwill, is my go-to for just about everything. In my head, it can go with anything easily and is extremely comfortable. I like that oversized feel of it and it is the perfect jacket for both the fall and spring. My Matt & Nat bag is my most recent purchase. I have been wanting a nice black leather backpack with silver hardware for quite some time and upon searching through Google for eco-friendly brands, I discovered Matt & Nat. They are 100% vegan and all of their bags are lined with material made from 100% recycled plastic bottles. Their style is super simplistic and minimalist that I could not pass up getting their Chanda bag. The synergy between MAT(T)erial & NATure and their motto, "Live beautifully." is what they strive to create their products by. Here is their link if you would like to check them out: http://mattandnat.com.

I have transformed the Black Chanda bag into my everyday bag as well as my school bag. It is so easy to carry around, I think everyone should have a nice quality backpack to haul around. The hands-free part is my favorite.
I had a little photoshoot with my friend Annabelle, who is starting her own blog as well. She is an amazing Apparel and Textile Design Production student and all of her work always blows me away. If I had to describe her in three words, it would be quirky, positive, and passionate. She is awesome and her green hair is her trademark. I also hope President Shultz doesn't mind that we were using his beautiful front yard for our photos. Annabelle's blog is coming soon!
An update on the ATID Showcase; my Stone Arcadia mood board for Gypsy Warrior got accepted to be judged, so now I wait and see if I receive some kind of award for it. I am so excited for Showcase, getting to network with professionals at a luncheon and attending a mounted exhibit and runway show presenting a bunch of students' work. Annabelle's work was accepted as well and I cannot wait to see her designs walk down the runway. It is going to be absolutely awesome. If anyone is interested in attending, here is a link with more information about it: http://www.he.k-state.edu/atid/events/symposium/.
