Today was already a huge day and we fit a ton of things into 7 hours. Here are some of the things I can check off my list!
X Times Square
X Central Park
X Chuck and Blair Wedding Spot
X Carlo's Bake Shop
X Madison Ave.
X Subway riding
X Pizza (Famiglia Pizzeria)
X Local cafe (Viand Coffee Shop)
X Getting hassled
Our very first day was full of adventures already. We only had 7 hours but we definitely filled it. The very first thing we did was get pizza at Famiglia, a place right around the corner from our hotel. I had cheese, it was delicious. We then traveled by subway to Central Park, took a very long stroll. I had really wanted to see Chuck and Blair’s wedding spot from Gossip Girl and I did! It was a great moment in my life, and the location was beautiful. The ceiling of the place was painted so precisely, it looked like absolute art. As we were walking through, we ran into this pond that had many little sail boats in it and I said, “Stuart Little?” It was the pond that was in Stuart Little and many other movies! I had to get a picture with it. We then went walking down Madison Ave., went into this great vintage designer shop, didn’t get anything, wish I had, but it was only the first day. We went to this cute little coffee shop called Viand. I had a lemon iced tea. We really just went in there to sit for a little bit, as we had already walked miles. We walked back to the hotel to rest for a little bit, then later that night, we headed into Times Square which really wasn’t that far from our hotel. By just wandering around, we bumped into Carlo’s Bake Shop. I got a cannoli and it was the best cannoli I have ever had. I love cannolis. It is referred to as the best cannoli in NYC. Buddy was not there but it was still an amazing experience. The first day was really exciting and I was super tired, so it was a lot to take in.
